views of rising concerns over energy sustainability and global warming, the
U.S. National Academies have identified renewable energy as a national
scientific strategy aimed at replacing the oil-based refinery and transitioning
to a green economy.
This website was originally
developed by Dr.
Q. Peter He at Tuskegee University
(now at Auburn University) and Dr. Jin Wang at Auburn University to create educational materials
that systematically integrate biofuels technology into undergraduate chemical engineering
curriculum. The ultimate goal is to help prepare a technologically advanced
workforce and innovative researchers for the biofuels
technology field.
