Gas to Liquid process

Gas to liquid refers to the technologies designed to convert natural gas to liquid fuels, as alternatives to the traditional refining of crude oil and other natural gas commercialization routes. This animation illuminates six steps as follows: Gasification, Cooling, Dedust, H2/CO ratio adjustment, Desulfurization, Fischer-Tropsch Reaction, Separation, and Hydrocracking.

2. Biomass to Liquid process

Biomass to Liquid (BTL) is a multi-step process which produces liquid biofuels from biomass. Here are the eight steps included in this animation: Gasification, Cooling, Dedust, H2/CO ratio adjustment, Desulfurization, Fischer-Tropsch Reaction, Separation, and Hydrocracking.

3. Coal to Liquid process

Converting coal to a liquid fuel, coal liquefaction, allows coal to be utilized as an alternative to oil. This video demonstrates eight steps of CTL as follows: Gasification, Cooling, Dedust, H2/CO ratio adjustment, Desulfurization, Fischer-Tropsch Reaction, Separation, and Hydrocracking.

4. Four types of Fischer-Tropsch reactors

The Multi-tubular Fixed Bed, the Slurry Bed and the Fluidized (with either Fixed or Circulating Bed) reactor are introduced in this vidoe.

5. Five types of Gasifier

Currently, there are three main gasifier classifications into which most of the commercially available gasifiers fall -- Fixed (Moving) Bed, Fluidized Bed, and Entrained Flow gasifiers. Plasma Gasifiers, a special application that has been developed to treat industrial and municipal solid wastes, is introduced as well.

6. Process of Fermentation

This video illustrates the process of Ethanol fermentation, also referred to as alcoholic fermentation, in which sugars such as glucose, fructose, and sucrose are converted into cellular energy and thereby produces ethanol and carbon dioxide as metabolic waste products.

7. Process of Pyrolysis

The animation illustrates the process of fast pyrolysis which takes the bio-oil as example of the final product. It includes pretreatment, pyrolysis reaction, char collection, quench system, and bio-oil storage.

8. Process of Combustion

Biomass combustion simply means burning organic material. For millennia, humans have used this basic technology to create heat and, later, to generate power through steam. The whole proccess of combustion is introduced in this video.

9. Process of Liquefaction

This video illustrates pretreatment of feedback and main reaction of liquefaction.
